I don’t know about you but the action I’m taking right now is to pluck my eyebrows. It started the night before last and that was prior to the Governor’s announcement that basically everything would shut down, so I was ahead of the game, mystically anticipating a period of isolation where things could grow back without much public scrutiny. Last time I went at my brows like this was 1981. There was no crisis then, except I was in seventh grade and my eyebrows were among few things I could control. So control them I did, like, really close to the mirror, in hindsight probably too close as in not once did I step back to check along the way and so we had this.

If you’ve done something stupid just prior to a social isolation, congratulations, because now you have time for things to grow back. Or maybe you did something stupid a while ago and now you can revisit it more thoughtfully, like, step BACK from the mirror every few minutes, remove only the STRAY brows and not NEARLY ALL of the brows.
The Fool says, the unknown isn’t some great gift unless you make it that. Unless you need a great gift right now. Give it a shot. Back away every few minutes to check your work and then, then, keep going.

O MY GOSH!! Did your parents eve react, or did they trust your creativity with your natural beauty?
Oh they were AMAZING. My mom totally modeled “own it” by telling me it looked great. I think my dad tried to help by referencing Brooke Shields which was the dumbest thing anybody could have said to me just then, but in hindsight, A+ for effort. 🙂

I’ve been keeping an eye on my eyebrows lately…. they’re turning white …….and each little hair is like a piece of “wire”. Plucking pain is equivalent to a “root canal”. My trimmer/shaver labors…… Oh well…… How’s it going? Jake? Scott?
COVID 19 hasn’t got me yet. It feels pretty good to be “at risk”! Gets the juices flowin’, again. The OLD FOLKS TRAILER PARK is pretty much locked down. Pool, clubhouse, pro shop, office……..all shut down. A visit to the mail kiosk,,,,,,,,by appointment only!

eyebrow styles are so fickle…In high school, i recall a woman a few years older than me who plucked her ENTIRE EYEBROW and then drew a thin little line – for her eyebrow ????? neither pretty nor on trend. never understood that. i was a part of the uni-brow club as I grew older, am as such I also took to my brows from time to time like there was no tomorrow (how I feel now on bad days) but now i’m like – eh, nearly too old to care. just make me look good when i’m gone (for the viewing.)
